Sierra Nevada Beer Camp
This mix pack features four beers that are "the best of". I hated the double IPA. The others were just ok. Maybe my expectations were too high.

Ballast Point Calico Amber Ale
Not a bad amber ale, a little bitter for my taste though. Ballast Point Brewing & Spirits is located in San Diego California.

Newport Storm Summer Ale
I stopped by my new favorite beer store, Redstone Liquors in Stoneham, and picked up a couple of new ales to try. This is the first one a tried.
A nice cool refreshing Summer ale, a little hoppy for my taste, but not bad.

Rickard's Tasters mix pack
This is the mix pack of Rickard's that I brought back from Canada. It contains a Belgian white, a German blonde pilsner, a red ale, and a dark. You already know i like the red and dark, the white and blonde are good too. Annette liked the white better. Rickard's is brewed by molson-coors.

Tommyknocker Maple Nut Brown Ale
This looked interesting, and I thought maybe another after dinner beer, but the first few sips were good, but it didn't hold up. Not quite what I was looking for. Brewed in Idaho Springs Colorado with real maple syrup. I have a couple left if you want to come over and try it for yourself.
Troegs Anthology Sampler Case
Awesome beer! Not a bad beer in the lot, and that's saying a lot since I generally don't like Pale Ales.
The Dream Weaver wheat is my favorite from the pack - a good beer.
The Sunshine Pils is another good summer, maybe even my favorite summer so far this year.
The Hop Back Amber is very good as well, not to hoppy, very enjoyable.
I was pleasantly surprised by the Pale Ale, maybe if more Pale Ales were like this one I wold like them.

Rickard's Red (can)
After two disappointing beers in a row I got a can of my favorite beer of the trip. Good even in a can. And I have bottles at home now too.
3 Brasseurs L'Ambre & La Blonde
Our last restaurant meal of the vacation we went to the popular Les 3 Brasseurs brewery. They have locations in Europe and Canada. I had high hopes for this amber, and again was disappointed. Annette's blonde wasn't much better, but was still better.
Boreale Rousse
Our first night in Montreal we stopped by a burger joint called m:brgr. Very cool & hip restaurant. Beer selection was limited so I got this. Not too bad, but I was hoping for better.

Rickard's Dark (can)
I saw this in the store and had to try it.
Wow, was it good. Perfect after dinner beer. Slightly sweet because it's made with pure maple syrup. An excellent dark beer. Luckily there are some bottles of it in the mix pack that I brought home.

Belle Gueule Rousse
I thought I give this a try, since I liked the reds. Not bad, but I still liked the Rickards. This one wasn't quite as full bodied, but still good.
Griffon Blonde
We stopped by a pub called Le Hobbit. They only had McAuslan Brewing beers and I already had the Rousse, I tried the blonde. Tasty, but I still prefer the red.

Griffon Rousse
Fresh off my experience with the Rickard's Red, I thought I'd try another. This red was also very good. Canadians do make good beer.
Rickard's Red (draft)
This is the second beer I tried on my Canadian journey. It is my favorite from the trip. Smooth delicious and full bodied. It made me want to try more rousse (red) beers. So good I brought home a mix pack of Rickards.
Belle Gueule
This is the first beer I tried in Canada, and it was everything I thought a Canadian beer should be. It was refreshing and good tasting and I thoroughly enjoyed it after a long day of travel.
